Located at the former Zambezi Sawmills Railway Locomotive sheds, the Railway Museum exhibits rare stem locomotive engines, rolling stock and exhibits dating back to the earliest days of Zambia;s history, including the complete locomotive sheds and station buildings of the former Zambezi Sawmills Railway line, once reputed to have been the longest private railway line in the world.

The site is easily accessible, situated less than one kilometer along Chishimba Falls Road from its junction with the Mosi-Oa- Tunya Road.
